Open positions

I count myself lucky, as I have been part of great teams and have received — and continue to receive — support from amazing supervisors, mentors, and colleagues.

I try to offer the same environment for my future collaborators. Below you will find ads for open – fully-funded – positions, and spontaneaous applications are always welcome.

Join the MULTISELF Project!
Funded under the France 2030 investment plan and part of the Initiative d’Excellence d’Aix-Marseille Université – AMIDEX, MULTISELF aims to redefine our understanding of self-body perception through behavioral experiments, computational modeling, and neuroimaging.

1. PhD Position in Cognitive Psychology and Behavioral Modeling

  • Duration: 3 years
    Start Date: September 2025
    Location: CRPN, Marseille, France
Profile: Cognitive Psychology, Behavioral Science, or a related field
    Application Deadline: May 2025
  • About the Position: We are looking for a PhD candidate interested in the study of self-body perception. The successful applicant will design and conduct behavioral and fMRI experiments based on sensory illusions, and contribute to computational modeling efforts to understand how we perceive different aspects of our body (size, position, movement, appearance, …).
  • Key Responsibilities:
Develop and conduct fMRI and psychophysical experiments
Analyze behavioral neuroimaging data using computational modeling approaches
Collaborate within a multidisciplinary research team
Present findings in scientific publications and conferences
  • Qualifications:
Master’s degree (or equivalent) in cognitive science, psychology, neuroscience, or a related discipline
Experience with MRI data acquisition and analysis
Interest in computational modeling is a plus
Programming experience (Python, MATLAB, R): a good level and an interest in programming is expected.
    Excellent communication and teamwork skills

2. Senior Postdoctoral Position in Model-Based fMRI

  • Duration: 2 years
    Start Date: January 2026
    Location: CRPN, Marseille, France
Expertise Required: Model-Based fMRI, Neuroimaging, Computational Neuroscience
    Application Deadline: September 2025
  • About the Position: We seek an experienced postdoctoral researcher to investigate the neural underpinnings of self-body perception. Using model-based fMRI analyses, the successful candidate will test computational predictions on self-body perception mechanisms and explore brain connectivity supporting sensory integration.
  • Key Responsibilities:
Design and conduct fMRI experiments involving multisensory stimulation and bodily illusions.
Develop and apply model-based analysis techniques to neuroimaging data.
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including psychologists, neuroscientists, and computational modelers.
Publish findings in high-impact journals and present at international conferences
  • Qualifications:
PhD in Neuroscience, Cognitive Science, Computational Neuroscience, or related fields.
Extensive experience in fMRI data acquisition and analysis.
Experience in model-based analysis techniques is a plus.
Strong programming skills (Python, MATLAB, or similar).
Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research and collaborate in a team.
